Frequently Asked Questions
Anything you would normally put through your own machine. Serena bags usually hold sleepsuits, bibs, muslins, toddler leggings, cot sheets, towels and the adults' gym kit. Pack it all into the one bag, and we sort it into shades and fabric types ahead of washing.
- Work shirts that need hangers suit shirts pressed and hung.
- How often to change cot sheets and towels here: a practical guide.
Six kilos cost AED 60 in any part of Serena. The larger size, twelve kilos, costs AED 99, and more than twelve kilos adds AED 12 per kilo. Small baby things weigh very little, so a couple with a baby rarely fills more than six kilos in seven days.
- Socks, the lowest single item, are AED 4 a pair.
- All rates: our price page.
Within 24 hours of pickup, in most cases. Everything is stacked by type, with the baby's things in a pile of their own if you like, so it can go straight into the nursery drawers. Padded cot quilts and duvets take 24 to 48 hours to dry through.
- WhatsApp messages when collected and again when returning.
- Any half hour, every day of the week.
Yes, just ask for an unscented load in your message. Many Serena parents with newborns request this for vests, sleepsuits and muslins. Those items are then washed apart from adult clothes and folded gently, and the team reads your note before starting the order.
- Heavy towels and denim are washed separately from baby things.
- On skin and detergents: what the research says.
Six kilos usually covers a week for three people. A toddler gets through several outfits a day, but small clothes are light, so the six-kilo bag at AED 60 goes further than you might expect. Heavier weeks with bedding simply move up to the twelve-kilo bag.
- Twelve kilos: AED 99.
- Bedding can also go through our sheets and towels page.
Yes, and families there book just as you do. They send a townhouse or villa pin and a slot, then pay the same six-kilo and twelve-kilo rates and get the bag back a day later. Collection there costs nothing either.
- Next door: family bags in Mudon.
- Close by: family bags in The Sustainable City.
Yes, simply mention it when you book. Parents in Serena often set the bag outside during nap time and ask the driver not to knock. The folded order comes back to the same spot, and a WhatsApp message tells you it has arrived.
- A nanny or grandparent can hand it over instead.
- Want a different time? Reply in the chat.
Every other service we offer can join the same pickup. List the extras in your message, and the driver takes them from your Serena door along with the bag. Each item is priced separately, and the whole order travels free.
- For parents: work shirts on hangers.
- For little ones: the favourite bunny and first trainers.
- Everything else: what we collect in Serena.
