History
Inside the Katara Towers.
The twin crescent Katara Towers rise about 211 metres over Lusail, shaped after the crossed swords of Qatar's national emblem. Owned by Katara Hospitality, they hold two hotels: Raffles Doha in one tower and Fairmont Doha in the other. Raffles has 132 suites, each with butler service, and its restaurants include Alba, led by chef Enrico Crippa.
- 2014Construction of the Katara Towers begins in Lusail; it runs until 2022.
- 2022In November, Raffles Doha welcomes its first guests: FIFA officials and delegations attending the World Cup.
- 2023The hotel opens to the public in January, with 132 suites and a ballroom with 22-metre ceilings.
