An abaya bought in the city that needs shortening, or a jalabiya that is loose at the side. Length and sleeve changes start at AED 40, stone or crystal reattachment AED 55, and a full custom abaya fitting AED 95. Ready in 48 to 72 hours.

For villas and flats in Al Bateen and along the western Corniche; hotel furnishings are never included. Majlis carpets cost AED 20 a square metre and wool AED 26, while curtains are AED 20 or AED 25 with blackout lining. They return in three days.

Many families stay here for a wedding in the capital. A plain wedding gown starts at AED 250 to clean, a beaded or embellished one at AED 450, and a keepsake box is AED 210. The gown is ready in 7 to 14 days.

For party organisers who bring costumed characters to children's birthdays and Eid events. Costumes cost AED 200 small, AED 230 medium and AED 250 large, plus AED 30 per accessory. Each takes three to five days to clean and dry.

A soft toy that follows a child from the kids' club to the pool and back gets grubby fast. Small ones are AED 55 to clean, medium AED 70 and large AED 120. They dry slowly and return soft in two to three days.

For Al Bateen households with removable majlis cushion and sofa covers. Small cushion covers are AED 10, medium AED 15, large AED 20, and a regular sofa cover AED 35. Washed, pressed and returned in two to three days.

Leather sandals, a leather handbag or a winter jacket from the trip. Leather shoes and boots cost AED 180, jackets AED 150, and small leather goods AED 100. Each item is cleaned and conditioned over three to five days.
