For people staying weeks or months, this is the one to use. A 6kg bag is AED 60 and a 12kg bag AED 99, with AED 12 for every extra kilo. Everything is washed, dried and folded and back at Shangri-La Dubai within 24 hours.

Silk blouses and shirts cost AED 15, cardigans AED 25, pullovers AED 30, and a jumpsuit AED 35. Suits start at AED 50. Book before noon and dry cleaning can return to the Shangri-La that same evening.

Wash at home, iron with us. Shirts on hangers are AED 9, folded shirts AED 10, trousers AED 12 and sweaters AED 15. Pressing comes back the next day, ready for the working week.

Useful in Shangri-La’s serviced apartments if you have your own bedding, or in flats nearby. A bed sheet is AED 18, a comforter AED 45, a table cloth AED 15 and a towel AED 6. Most linen takes 24 hours; large duvets 48.

Running shoes, work shoes and sandals all need attention in Dubai. Trainers and formal shoes are AED 55, sandals AED 45, and children’s shoes AED 35. Shoe cleaning takes two to four days, and soles are cleaned too.

For residents of the apartments and the towers around them. Curtains without lining cost AED 20 per square metre, blackout curtains AED 25, and carpets from AED 20 per square metre. Allow three days.

For brides and families in town for a wedding. Gowns are cleaned from AED 250, beaded gowns from AED 450, and preserved in a box for AED 210. Allow 7 to 14 days.

For event teams working in the area. Brand launches and school events often rent a costumed character. Mascots cost AED 200 small, AED 230 medium and AED 250 large, plus AED 30 for each accessory. They take three to five days.

For families living in the apartments or on holiday. Small soft toys cost AED 55, medium AED 70 and large AED 120. They are washed gently, dried slowly and returned in two to three days.

For apartments with removable covers. Regular sofa covers are AED 35, large AED 40, and cushion covers AED 10, AED 15 or AED 20 by size. They are back in two to three days.

Cooler months bring out the leather. Jackets start at AED 150, coats and blazers at AED 130, shoes and boots from AED 180, and small leather goods from AED 100. Leather is cleaned and conditioned in three to five days.
