Frequently Asked Questions
Everyday clothes and towels that are fine in a washing machine. In Motor City homes that means school polos, gym kit, T-shirts, jeans, pyjamas, bath towels and pillowcases. Mix everything together, because we separate colours and fabrics ourselves before washing.
- Hanging items like shirts and dresses belong with our hanger service for workwear.
- Pillowcases fit the bag; duvets take 24 to 48 hours.
Six kilos cost AED 60; twelve kilos cost AED 99. Past twelve kilos, every extra kilo is AED 12. Pickup and return are free across Motor City, from Uptown to Green Community, so the price of the bag is all you pay.
- Sending only a few small things? Socks and underwear are AED 4 each.
- Compare items on the Laundrykhalas price list.
It comes back within 24 hours of pickup. We return it to wherever it was collected: the concierge desk, the guard or your townhouse door. Heavy duvets and blankets are the exception at 24 to 48 hours, because thick filling takes longer to dry through.
- WhatsApp messages at pickup and on the way back.
- Any day of the week, in the half hour you choose.
Yes, message us each week and we keep your usual slot. Plenty of Motor City families send their bag on the same weekday morning so the washing basket never overflows. You pay for each bag as it goes, and there is no plan or membership involved.
- Leave the bag out if nobody will be home.
- Our guide on how often to wash towels and bedding here helps set a routine.
A household of four or more usually needs 12 kg. Uniforms, football kit, towels and sheets from three bedrooms add up fast, and AED 99 covers the lot each week. Couples in Uptown apartments rarely go beyond six kilos, which is AED 60.
- Anything over twelve kilos is charged at AED 12 per kilo.
- For full sheet sets, see bedding and towels in Motor City.
Yes, the communities around Motor City are covered too. Residents of the neighbouring districts book exactly as you do, with a location pin and a thirty-minute window that suits them. You pay identical bag prices in each of these communities, and pickup is always free.
- Next door: weekly bags in Dubai Sports City.
- Close by: the kilo bag in Arjan.
Yes, both are included with each bag. There is no need to separate anything at home. Each Motor City bag is divided into colour and fabric groups, visible marks are treated first, and delicate items get their own gentle cycle. Mention any special piece in the booking chat.
- Football pitch grass and ketchup on polos are regular jobs here.
- Why colours fade in strong sun: our piece on the Dubai sun.
Yes, they can come in the same pickup. Write the full list in a single chat and our driver takes every piece during your chosen slot. Your bag is still priced by weight, while any extra items are charged at their own listed rates.
- Clothes: Hung Shirts and Dresses and Just Pressing.
- Home: Sheets and Towels.
- Extras: Football Boots and Trainers, Gym Bags and Wedding Dresses.
