What Makes Laundrykhalas for
Our Toy Cleaning Different in Dubai Marina?
Anyone can soak a bear. Returning it fluffy, the right shape and bone dry inside takes patience, and that is where our time goes.
How a Toy Is Cleaned in Dubai Marina
Check and Test
Seams, fixings and filling are checked, electronics found and dealt with, and the dye colour-tested on a hidden patch. Anything already loose or likely to stay stained is reported before cleaning starts.
Hand Wash and Sanitise
Washed by hand at low temperature in sections, never in a drum, then sanitised through the filling to deal with dust mites and bacteria rather than just the smell.
Dry, Brush and Check
Air-dried at room temperature until the core of the stuffing is dry, then brushed out along the fur so the pile stands up, and checked over once more before it is packed.
Marina Families Who Send Us Toys Toys from the Marina usually arrive for one of a few reasons.
If a toy sleeps in a bed, travels everywhere or gets shared between children, it is probably due a clean sooner than you think.
- Parents of toddlers with a constant companion
Chewed, dropped and carried everywhere.
- Families with allergies in the house
Regular cleaning for toys kept on the bed.
- Nurseries and playrooms
Shared plush cleaned in one batch.
- Owners of keepsake teddies
Old, much-loved toys handled cautiously.
Soft Toy Questions, Dubai Marina
Pricing goes by size, starting at AED 55. Medium toys cost AED 70 and large ones AED 120. Size is judged by the whole toy, so send a quick photo with something for scale and we confirm the price before anyone comes to your Marina tower.
- Even one small toy is picked up and delivered free.
- All rates: the Laundrykhalas price list.
Most toys return in 2 to 3 days. Nearly all of that time is drying, because stuffing has to dry in the centre, not only on the fur. If your child needs the toy for a trip or bedtime, tell us the date and we plan around it where possible.
- A chat message lets you know it is heading home.
- It returns to the same lobby desk.
The sound unit is taken out or kept dry. Many toys have a battery box that can be removed through a seam or velcro opening. Where it is sewn in, we clean around it by hand so no water reaches the electronics, and we tell you first.
- Mention any sound feature when booking.
- Remove batteries yourself if you can.
Every few months is sensible for a toy that sleeps in the bed. It collects dust, saliva and sweat along with the sheets, but usually gets washed far less. In humid months, a musty smell is often the first sign it is due.
- Sheets can be cleaned on the same day: Bed & Bath.
- More tips: soft toy care for UAE parents.
Faded colour, bald patches and crumbling foam stay as they are. Cleaning removes dirt, smell and most stains, but it cannot replace worn fur or rebuild old foam. We look at the toy at collection and tell you honestly what to expect before we begin.
- Loose seams are pointed out before washing.
- Photos in the chat help us judge in advance.
Yes, anything in the large band costs AED 120. Giant bears and floor cushions shaped like animals take the longest to dry, so they may need the full 3 days. If it will not fit through a door easily, send a photo and measurements so we can plan the collection.
- Very big items: confirm in the chat first.
- Party costumes go to Mascot Cleaning.
Yes, families in neighbouring communities book toy pickups the same way. Parents in the beach towers and in the lake towers send a location pin and choose a half-hour slot, and the prices match Dubai Marina exactly. Pickup and delivery are free.
- Beach towers: teddy pickups in JBR.
- Across the road: plush toys in JLT.
Yes, toys can travel with the rest of the household order. List the lot in a single chat and it all leaves your Marina tower during one half-hour slot. Each item keeps its own price and return time, and the total counts toward free pickup.
- Clothes: Wash & Fold.
- Rugs: Carpet & Curtains.
- Everything else: our Dubai Marina page.

Contact usWhat Marina parents say Dubai Marina.
"Booked a collection from Dubai Marina because of my son's asthma, and it was dry right through, not just outside. Air-dried rather than tumbled, which is clearly the difference."
via Google "Booked on WhatsApp from a photo and they were honest that the faded patches would stay. No surprises at the end."
via Trustpilot "My daughter's bear has been slept with for four years and I was too scared to wash it. It came back clean and still soft, and she did not notice anything different about it, which was the whole point."
"We do this every couple of months now because of my son's asthma. They clean the bedding and his two toys together and the difference in his mornings is obvious."
"Big unicorn plush, about a metre tall. Took four days because of the drying, which they told me upfront, and it came back fluffy instead of the flat mess I got from the machine last time."
"They found a loose eye on one of the toys and told me instead of sending it back like that. Small thing, but with a toddler in the house it mattered."
"We sent eleven toys from our nursery playroom. Collected on Sunday, back midweek, all labelled and counted correctly. The batch price was fair for the work."
via Website "A singing elephant with the sound box sewn in. I assumed it was not washable. They cleaned around the unit and it still plays, so I was wrong."
"My mother's teddy from the sixties. They said in advance the faded patches would not improve and not to expect white, and that honesty is why I used them again."

The toys we collect in Dubai Marina are usually the ones a child cannot sleep without. Parents often add the cot sheets through Bed & Bath, or a playroom rug through Carpet & Curtains.
