Why Choose Laundrykhalas for
Mascot Cleaning in Jumeirah Park?
A mascot is foam, fur and glue, not fabric. Very few cleaners in Jumeirah Park handle one properly.
How We Clean a Mascot in Jumeirah Park
Inspect and Record
Every seam, glued joint and worn patch is checked and photographed first, so the costume's existing condition is on record before anything is cleaned.
Hand Clean and Sanitise
Body, head, gloves and feet are cleaned by hand in sections. The lining and head padding are sanitised and deodorised separately, because that is where the odour sits.
Air-Dry Flat and Check
Dried flat on racks at room temperature over a day or more, then checked for head fit and fur direction before packing. No heat, no tumbling, at any point.

Mascot Cleaning FAQs, Jumeirah Park
The lining and padding get their own treatment. Head padding absorbs the most sweat and is the part most cleaners skip. It is sanitised and deodorised on its own, then dried flat so the internal shape holds. The harness and any straps are cleaned at the same time, since those sit against the skin.
- Head padding sanitised as its own step
- Harness and straps cleaned with it
- Dried flat so the internal shape holds
Yes, any full-body costume is handled by the same process. Anything built from foam, synthetic fur and glued seams needs the same treatment: hand cleaning in sections, no drum, no heat, flat drying. Character suits, parade costumes and fursuits are all priced by size on the same scale as mascots.
- Character suits, parade costumes and fursuits
- Priced by size on the same scale
- Send a photo if you are unsure which size applies
Yes, we run scheduled collections for venues and clubs. Event companies, schools and venues that clean the same costumes repeatedly can book a standing collection rather than arranging each one. It is the same service and the same pricing; the difference is that we already know the costume and its history.
- Standing collections for repeat customers
- Same pricing, no contract required
- Common for event companies and schools in Jumeirah Park
AED 200 to AED 250, set by the size of the costume. Small costumes are AED 200, standard AED 230 and large or oversized AED 250, covering the full body and head together. Detachable accessories are AED 30 per piece. Collection from Jumeirah Park and return are included at no extra cost.
- Small AED 200, medium AED 230, large AED 250
- Gloves, feet, capes and signs: AED 30 each
- Free collection and return across Dubai
Yes, and collection and return are free on orders from AED 30. Mascots are bulky and awkward to transport, which is the usual reason they sit uncleaned. We collect from homes, offices, schools, warehouses and event venues in Jumeirah Park on a booked slot and return the costume the same way.
- Free doorstep pickup anywhere in Jumeirah Park
- Venue, warehouse and store-room collections are standard
- AED 30 minimum order, which every mascot clean is well above
No, because nothing here goes into a machine at any stage. The damage people fear comes from the machine, not the cleaning. A drum compresses foam and pulls glued seams apart; heat flattens head padding for good. Hand cleaning in sections and unheated flat drying avoid both, at the cost of a few extra days.
- No drum washing and no tumble drying at any stage
- Air-dried flat on racks, typically over 24 to 48 hours
- Head shape and fit checked again before packing
Most costumes are back within three to five days. The cleaning is a few hours. The wait is drying, which happens flat and unheated or the head loses its shape. If you have a date in Jumeirah Park, say so and we plan back from it.
- Three to five days is typical, drying is the limiting step
- Give us the event date and we work backwards from it
- Heavily soiled costumes may need an extra drying day
Usually yes, since the inside is cleaned as well as the outside. Smell lives where the sweat goes: the lining and the head padding. Cleaning only the outer fur leaves it exactly where it was. Both inner layers are sanitised separately and deodorised, and we neutralise rather than mask, so nobody wears a perfumed costume.
- Lining and head padding sanitised as a separate step
- Odour neutralised, not masked with fragrance
- Sweat contact points treated individually

"Sent the character costume from Jumeirah Park because it had not been cleaned in two seasons, and the smell is completely gone. They worked to our event date rather than quoting a vague turnaround."
via Google "Booked on WhatsApp in a couple of minutes and the foam was never pressed flat at any point. Easy to deal with and they do what they say."
via Website "Our event mascot had not been cleaned in two seasons and honestly smelled like it. Came back fresh and the head still fits properly, which I was worried about."
"School mascot picked up and returned within the week. They warned us one stain might not come out fully, and they were right, but everything else looks new."
via Trustpilot "Three laundries turned us down before this one. They took the whole costume, gloves and feet included, and returned it as a set."
"Used them for my daughter's giant teddy that could not go in the machine. Came back clean, dry and not stiff at all."
"We run brand activations and the fur matting was becoming visible in photos. They cleaned with the pile and it photographs properly again."

Teams across Jumeirah Park use us between bookings rather than once a season. A costume worn by different performers holds sweat in the lining after a single event, so the lining and the padding inside the head are sanitised and deodorised as a separate step from the outer shell. Collection and return across Dubai are free on orders from AED 30, which every mascot clean exceeds.
