No, as long as the costume is never machine washed or heat dried. Machine drums crush foam and break glued seams, and heat collapses head padding permanently. Mascots are cleaned by hand in sections and dried flat at room temperature instead. That is slower than a machine cycle, and it is why the head still fits afterwards.

Most mascots take three to five days from collection to return. Drying is the slow part and cannot be rushed with heat without wrecking the foam. Not always, and we tell you which stains are likely to remain. Makeup, dye transfer and set-in grass marks sometimes lift only partially from synthetic fur. Each mark is treated individually rather than scrubbed, because scrubbing mats the pile permanently. You get an honest assessment at the inspection stage, before any cleaning starts.
