History
Twin towers, three names.
The hotel's two 50-floor towers, each about 200 metres tall, were completed in 2011 as part of the City Center complex. In 2014 the owner, ARTIC, combined the Renaissance Doha, the Courtyard Doha and the Marriott Executive Apartments into the region's first Marriott Marquis, and in 2019 the property was relaunched as JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha.
- 2011The North and South towers, 50 floors and about 200 metres each, are completed in West Bay.
- 2014ARTIC merges three Marriott hotels on the site into Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, the brand's first Marquis in the region.
- 2019The hotel reopens as JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, with phased renovations and seven dining outlets, from Greek and Chinese to an Argentine grill.
