T-shirts, shorts and socks from desert walks and the pool go into one bag. Up to 6kg is AED 60, up to 12kg AED 99, and each extra kilo AED 12. We shake out the sand first, then wash and fold, ready within 24 hours of reaching us.

For evenings at the resort's restaurants or a family gathering: a dress is AED 40, an evening dress AED 65, a kandura AED 15 and a basic abaya AED 18. Shirts are AED 15. Items are cleaned and pressed within 24 hours of collection.

Clothes that creased in the car on the way out only need pressing. A shirt on a hanger is AED 9, a dress AED 25, a kandura AED 12 and a jumpsuit AED 25. Pressing is finished by the next day and delivered at the time agreed.

Resort linen is the resort's own; this is for people with homes, farms and majlis rooms around Al Wathba. Sheets are AED 18, blankets AED 30, large blankets AED 40 and towels AED 6. Big duvets need 48 hours.

Sand gets into every stitch of trainers and walking boots. Sneakers are AED 55 a pair, boots AED 85 and sandals AED 45, cleaned by hand inside and out. Allow two to four days, and we can deliver to the city if you have left.

A weekend duffel dragged across sand, or a handbag marked at dinner, can be cleaned properly. Duffel bags are AED 65, handbags and totes AED 45 and a crossbody bag AED 55. Allow three to five days.

A seam split while climbing a dune, or a button lost on the way, is easy to fix. Seam repairs cost AED 40, a new button AED 12 and a trouser hem AED 40. Allow 48 to 72 hours, with delivery to a city address if needed.

For owners of villas, farms and majlis tents around Al Wathba, not for resort rooms. Carpets are AED 20 per square metre and wool AED 26; curtains AED 20, or AED 25 with blackout lining. They return in three days.

For families who celebrated a wedding or engagement and want the gown cleaned afterwards. Bridal gowns start at AED 250, beaded gowns at AED 450, and a storage box costs AED 210. Allow seven to fourteen days.

For event teams staging shows or festivals in the desert with a costumed character. Small mascots are AED 200, medium AED 230 and large AED 250, with each accessory AED 30. Allow three to five days.

For families whose child took a favourite toy on the desert walk. Small toys are AED 55, medium AED 70 and large AED 120, cleaned gently and dried right through. Allow two to three days.

For homes and farm majlis rooms near Al Wathba with removable covers. Regular sofa covers are AED 35, large covers AED 40, and cushion covers from AED 10 to AED 20. They are back in two to three days.

Desert nights in winter call for a jacket, and sand can scratch leather. Jackets are cleaned and conditioned from AED 150, coats and blazers from AED 130 and small goods from AED 100. Allow three to five days.
