Kanduras, abayas, suits and dresses are cleaned and pressed piece by piece. A kandura or a shirt costs AED 15, a basic abaya AED 18 and a day dress AED 40. Book before noon and it can return the same evening.

Clean clothes that only need ironing cost less. A kandura or thobe is pressed for AED 12, a shirt on a hanger for AED 9 and a dress for AED 25. Pressed pieces come back within 24 hours, ready to hang in the suite wardrobe.

Long-stay guests sometimes travel with their own sheets or a child's blanket. A bed sheet costs AED 18, a pillow case AED 7, a blanket AED 30 and a bath towel AED 6. Most linen returns within a day; large duvets take 48 hours.

Sand gets into everything at the beach end of JBR. Adult sneakers and formal shoes are AED 55, sandals AED 45 and children's shoes AED 35. Shoe cleaning takes two to four days, which suits a week in a suite.

This is for people who live in the JBR towers and nearby flats. Carpets cost AED 20 per square metre and wool AED 26; curtains are AED 20, or AED 25 with blackout lining. Three days.

For families staying together for a wedding. A wedding abaya costs AED 50, a wedding kandura AED 20, a standard bridal gown from AED 250 and a beaded one from AED 450. Allow one to two weeks; we deliver anywhere in Dubai.

For event crews and promoters, not holiday guests. Mascot suits are AED 200 small, AED 230 medium and AED 250 large, each accessory AED 30. They are cleaned inside and out, dried slowly, and ready in three to five days.

Children bring their favourite toy everywhere, including the beach. We clean soft toys for AED 55 small, AED 70 medium and AED 120 large. Each one takes two or three days, so it is ready well before the flight home.

For households in the apartment towers behind the beach rather than hotel suites. A regular sofa cover is AED 35, a large one AED 40, and cushion covers start at AED 10. They come back in two or three days.

Leather wallets, jackets and boots need specialist care, especially after sand and sun. Small leather goods cost AED 100, jackets from AED 150 and leather shoes AED 180. Allow three to five days.
