Gym wear, loungewear and pool towels do not need dry cleaning. Send them by weight: AED 60 for 6kg, AED 99 for 12kg and AED 12 for every kilo after that. They are washed to the label, dried completely and folded, then back at Palme Couture Residences the next day.

Silk blouses, tailored trousers, cocktail dresses and suits are cleaned individually and hand-finished. A blouse is AED 15, trousers AED 18, a two-piece suit AED 50, a three-piece AED 60 and an evening dress AED 65. Most pieces return within 24 hours; book before noon for the same day.

Clean clothes creased from travel or the wardrobe can be pressed without washing. Shirts on a hanger are AED 9, trousers AED 12, a dress AED 25 and an evening dress AED 40. It is the quickest way to get a suitcase of outfits ready after a trip, and it returns the next day.

Good bed linen lasts longer when it is washed with care. Bed sheets are AED 18, pillow cases AED 7, bathrobes AED 16 and towels AED 6. A duvet is AED 50 and takes two days to dry right through. Other items come back the next day.

Designer trainers, leather loafers and suede boots each need a different method. Trainers and formal shoes are AED 55, sandals AED 45 and boots AED 85. Light restoration starts at AED 50 and stain protection is AED 20. Allow two to four days for each pair.

Handbags and evening clutches are cleaned by hand with products suited to the material. A clutch or purse is AED 45, a standard handbag AED 45, an oversized handbag AED 55 and a crossbody bag AED 55. Tell us the brand and the material when you book. Allow three to five days.

A hem, a waist or a sleeve adjustment starts at AED 40, and a major waist change or full-leg taper is AED 50. Our tailors work on suits, dresses and denim. Most jobs need two to three days; if there is an event coming up, mention the date when you book.

Rugs on stone floors collect sand from the beach, and long curtains gather dust from the sea air. Regular rugs are AED 20 per square metre and wool rugs AED 26. Curtains are AED 20 per square metre, or AED 25 with blackout lining, ready in three days.

Couture gowns need careful cleaning to protect lace, beading and silk. Simple gowns start at AED 250 and beaded gowns at AED 450. Veils are AED 55, and a preservation box to keep the gown safe is AED 210. The work takes one to two weeks.

Offered to event planners and brands rather than households. Small mascot costumes are AED 200, medium AED 230 and large AED 250, with AED 30 for each accessory. We clean the inside and outside, deodorise and dry the full suit, and return it in three to five days.

Grandchildren visiting for the holidays often bring a well-loved toy that needs a wash. Small toys are AED 55, medium AED 70 and large AED 120. We clean them gently so the fur and stuffing stay soft, and they are back within two or three days.

Only for furniture with removable covers; fixed upholstery stays at home. A regular sofa cover is AED 35 and a large one AED 40. Cushion covers are AED 10, AED 15 or AED 20 depending on size. They are washed to the fabric's needs and back in two or three days.

Leather jackets, coats and blazers are cleaned with a specialist process and then conditioned to keep them supple in the dry air indoors. Jackets start at AED 150 and coats or blazers at AED 130. Allow three to five days before the piece returns to Palme Couture Residences.
