Frequently Asked Questions
Anything you would put in your own washing machine at home. For JVC families that tends to mean school polos, shorts, leggings, pyjamas, kitchen towels, bath towels and single sheets. Toss it in mixed; we divide each load by shade and material before anything gets wet.
- Blazers, silk and shirts that should hang go to our hanger service for work clothes.
- Single sheets fit the bag; a duvet needs a day or two.
It is AED 60 for 6 kg, or AED 99 for 12 kg. Past that limit you add AED 12 for each kilo. Pickup and return anywhere in JVC cost nothing with either sack, and nobody adds a petrol or mileage fee.
- Only a handful of things? A pair of socks or a pair of briefs runs AED 4.
- Browse every Laundrykhalas rate on a single list.
Expect the sack home a day after we take it. It goes back to wherever it was handed over, whether reception, the guard at the gate or your own front door. Heavy duvets and thick blankets are the exception, since the filling needs longer, so allow 24 to 48 hours for those.
- Two WhatsApp pings: one at pickup, one as it sets off to you.
- Seven days a week, in the 30-minute slot you pick.
Most families of four or five use the 12 kg bag. School uniforms, sports kit, towels and bedding for several bedrooms add up quickly, and one AED 99 sack each week tends to hold the lot. Overflow is charged at AED 12 a kilo, so nothing waits for next time.
- Singles and couples often manage with the 6 kg bag at AED 60.
- Our note on how often to wash things here helps plan the week.
Yes, hosts send the towels, sheets and pillowcases in a bag after checkout. Book the pickup on the morning the guests leave, and everything is back in 24 hours, folded flat and ready for the next bed. We collect from the flat door or reception, depending on how the building works.
- Two-bedroom turnovers usually need the AED 99 size.
- For matching sets, try our sheets and towels service in JVC.
Yes, the neighbouring communities get the same bag service. Neighbours in the villages beside JVC book it identically, pin first, then a thirty-minute window. The price does not change from one community to the next, and every order travels free in each.
- Next door: bag pickups in Jumeirah Village Triangle.
- Close by: the same sack service in Arjan.
Yes, sorting and spot work are included in the price. Leave the separating to us. Every JVC sack gets divided into colours and fabric groups, obvious marks get dabbed and soaked first, and fragile items go on a cycle of their own. Flag any special piece in your booking chat.
- Grass on football socks and juice on school shirts are everyday jobs here.
- Why clothes take longer to dry indoors in winter: our Dubai humidity piece.
Yes, other services can join the bag in the same pickup. Tell us everything in one WhatsApp message and the driver takes it together in your half-hour slot. Collection is free with any sack, and add-ons keep their own list prices.
- Clothes: Clean & Press and Just the Ironing.
- Home: Bedding and Bath Towels.
- Extras: Kids' Trainers, School Backpacks and Bridal Gowns.
