Everyday clothes go in the bag: t-shirts, trousers, pyjamas and gym wear. We wash, dry, fold and pack them, and the bag comes back within 24 hours. Socks, underwear and swimwear go in too, while dry-clean-only items are set aside.

What if a dry-clean-only item is in my bag?
We set it aside and never wash a dry-clean-only item. Suits, silks and abayas move to Clean & Press, priced per item, and we tell you on WhatsApp before cleaning. You only pay the dry cleaning price if you agree to it.

Pickup is at the main entrance of the resort. You choose the time in WhatsApp, and the driver meets you there. Villa guests who will be at the pool or beach can leave the bag at reception or the bell desk, provided the hotel agrees to hold it.

No, the bag and slip in your room are for the hotel's service. To send clothes with Laundrykhalas, pack them in whatever bag you have and tell us roughly what is inside on WhatsApp. We go through the items with you before cleaning, so no paperwork is involved.

We pay up to 10 times the item's cleaning cost. That covers loss or damage from our own cleaning or handling. Pre-existing marks, wear, colour bleeding and shrinkage are excluded, and pieces with no care label are cleaned at the owner's risk.

The minimum for free pickup is QAR 30. It covers collection at The Chedi Katara and delivery back to the resort. One evening dress, or two shirts, reaches it straight away, so most guest orders do not pay for the trip.

History
A beach resort that opened for the World Cup.
GHM announced Qatar's first Chedi in 2021, and The Chedi Katara opened in November 2022, just before the FIFA World Cup. Developed by Triple A Holdings with the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, it combines Moghul and Ottoman architecture with 59 rooms and suites, 32 villas with their own gardens and pools, and a 300-metre private shoreline.
