Four Seasons Hotel Doha opened on 23 April 2005 as the focal point of the West Bay complex, a tower crowned by domes of latticework with its own private beach and a 110-berth marina. Ten years later Nobu Doha opened at the edge of the marina, in a building shaped like a coiled shell in a nod to Doha's pearl-diving past.
- 2005Four Seasons Hotel Doha opens on 23 April on the West Bay shore, with 232 rooms, a private beach, a marina and a three-storey spa.
- 2015Nobu Doha opens at the hotel's marina on 17 April, in a three-level building designed by Rockwell Group.
- 2024Forbes Travel Guide gives the hotel a Five-Star rating.
- 2025The hotel keeps its Five-Star rating, and its spa receives a Five-Star rating too.
- 2026Forbes Travel Guide names it a Five-Star hotel for the third year in a row.
