Steigenberger first announced its Qatar debut in 2014. The hotel opened on Al Matar Street on 10 November 2021 with 206 rooms on nine floors, a GOCO Spa of 1,700 sqm and a rooftop pool, and a year later the Steigenberger Residence Doha opened, also on Al Matar Street, its guests welcome at the hotel's restaurants.
