End of the Crescent

Royal Central The Palm stands on Crescent Road near the south-eastern tip of the East Crescent, with its closest hotel neighbour, Aloft, only about 130 metres away and Muraba Residences right beside it. The Anantara resort is roughly 400 metres along the road. Cars come in by the tunnel under the Crescent beside Atlantis and turn east, a loop our drivers already make for flats, villas and hotels all over Palm Jumeirah, so even out here a driver is with you inside the hour.

The hotel has 207 rooms and suites, many with balconies looking towards Atlantis and Burj Al Arab, plus a private beach, an infinity pool and its own laundry, pressing and dry cleaning. History

Central Hotels' royal address on the Crescent.

Royal Central began with a soft opening on 15 July 2018, as a 207-room hotel run by Central Hotels, a Dubai company set up in 2015. The group launched it under its "Stay Fresh" idea, calling it fun, funky and family-friendly, and it is the sister of the group's C Central resort further along the same crescent. First named without the word Resort, it is now marketed as Royal Central Hotel and Resort The Palm. A hotel built around staying fresh is a good fit for us: fresh clothes are the whole job.

  1. 2001Nakheel starts building Palm Jumeirah, the island whose outer ring later becomes the East and West Crescent.
  2. Sep 2008The Atlantis resort opens at the centre of the Crescent, the first resort on the island.
  3. Dec 2013The Waldorf Astoria welcomes guests along Crescent Road, roughly one kilometre from where Royal Central will stand.
  4. 2015Central Hotels is founded in Dubai as a hotel management company, the group that will run Royal Central.
  5. 15 Jul 2018Royal Central soft opens on the East Crescent with 207 rooms and suites and a private beach.
  6. Jul 2018The first dining line-up includes Choi, La Maison, Hush Beach Bar and Baristas' Corner, with coffee and Japanese dishes from day one.
