History
Two heritage houses in Souq Al Wakra.
Al Wakrah grew as a pearl-diving and fishing town, and Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli echoes that past: 101 rooms with thatched ceilings in two former heritage houses, built like a Qatari house or fortress, with courtyards laid out like a majlis. Tivoli, part of Minor Hotels, launched it in September 2018, next to the public beach and promenade.
- 2018Katara Hospitality and Minor Hotels announce three new-build hotels in Qatar under the Tivoli and Oaks brands.
- 2018In September, Tivoli announces the launch of the 101-room Souq Al Wakra Hotel.
