Most people living alone in a Palm Views studio fill one small bag a week: T-shirts, gym kit, towels and underwear. Six kilos cost AED 60, twelve kilos AED 99 for a couple, and anything heavier adds AED 12 per kilo. It all returns washed, dried and folded by the next day.

Office shirts are what Palm Views residents send most. Each shirt costs AED 15, trousers cost AED 18, an everyday dress costs AED 40 and a suit in two pieces AED 50. They come home on hangers by the next day, and a dry cleaning order placed in the morning, before 12, can return that evening.

In a studio, the ironing board often stays folded away. Send clean clothes just to be pressed: AED 9 per shirt returned on a hanger, AED 12 for trousers or jeans and AED 25 for a dress. They come back to Palm Views flat and hung by the next day, ready for work.

Many studios here are let furnished, so if the bedding is yours, it can ride along with the weekly bag. Expect AED 18 per bed sheet, AED 6 per bath towel and AED 16 per robe. Sheets and towels return the next day; a big duvet, at AED 50, needs two days.

Trainers worn on the Trunk boardwalk and office shoes that need a polish both suit our shoe care. Sneakers and smart leather shoes cost AED 55, sandals AED 45 and boots AED 85. Shoes need between two and four days, so send the spare pair first and keep one at home.

A laptop bag carried daily or a gym bag that lives in the car picks up marks and smells. Laptop bags and briefcases begin at AED 45, backpacks at AED 45 and duffel or gym bags at AED 65. Give it between three and five days before it returns to Palm Views.

New jeans that are too long, work trousers that need taking in, a shirt sleeve that sits past the wrist. Each of those starts at AED 40, whether it is a plain hem, a usual waist change or a shorter sleeve. Tailoring needs two to three days, so mention any deadline in your first message.

This one is for owners, and for tenants with their own rugs or curtains rather than the landlord's. Rugs cost AED 20 a square metre, or AED 26 a square metre in wool. Plain curtains are AED 20 a square metre and blackout ones AED 25, with both ready after three days.

If you married recently, or a gown has hung in the wardrobe since the move, we clean it carefully and can box it. Plain gowns begin at AED 250 and beaded ones at AED 450; veils are AED 55 and a preservation box is AED 210. Allow one to two weeks.

Mainly for brand and event teams working at the malls and beaches of the Trunk, not for residents. Costumes cost AED 200 if small, AED 230 if medium and AED 250 if large, plus AED 30 for every accessory. Each suit is cleaned, deodorised and dried, then returned within three to five days.

When nieces, nephews or grandchildren come to stay, a favourite toy often arrives grubby from the flight. Small toys cost AED 55, mid-sized ones AED 70 and big ones AED 120. Cleaning needs two or three days, so send it at the start of the visit, not the end.

In a studio, the sofa is the living room, so its covers get used hard. Ask your landlord first if the furniture came with the let. A standard cover costs AED 35, a big one AED 40 and a small cushion cover AED 10, and all of them return within two or three days.

Leather jackets come out for the cooler months and often go back in the wardrobe with a mark. A leather jacket begins at AED 150 and a leather coat or blazer at AED 130, cleaned with a softer process than ordinary dry cleaning. Plan on three to five days.
